The group of artists Inconsciente Colectivo will be exhibiting for the first time in the Casa del Dragón in Cervera del Maestre (Spain). Inconsciente Colectivo („the collective unconscious“) was founded by six artists in the Parador de Turismo de Benicarló (Castellón) in late summer of 2005. The group consists of Nicole Wynants Crutzen , Katrin Maeder , Julieta Sol Bengoa , Miguel Cavero , Jose Caldes and Jesus Maestro . The artists work in close cooperation and organize group exhibitions.
The group is characterized by the very different biographies of its members. The coherence of the group is due to the friendship between each other and to the good experience of the first group exhibition in Benicarló (Spain).
Wynants Crutzen is originally from Belgium, she paints in oil. The Venezuelan Maeder (with German parents) works on silk. Sol Bengoa from Argentina paints in oil and uses mixed techniques. Cavero comes from Palencia and is a ceramist. Caldes lives in Benicarló and is known for his bronze sculptures in public space and for his large-sized paintings. Maestro is originally from Zaragoza and is, besides being a painter, also dedicated to writing and music.
